If there is one thing that you need in order to blog consistently, that is motivation. Motivation is what is needed for you to be productive, each blogger or writer will have a different source of motivation. Blogging might be a passion or it might be a hobby, meanwhile others do it to boost their income.
Ask yourself why you began blogging? For me, it’s definitely a hobby, but here are some good tips to help you boost your motivation when blogging.
FIND A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
To be motivated, you definitely need a source of inspiration. Some bloggers are inspired by reading blogs whereas others are inspired by looking at their favourite influencers. For me, motivation comes from my hobbies, exploring new places and National Trust houses. My motivation is what inspires me to write and blog about what I’ve been up to.
REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED BLOGGING
You started blogging for a reason and you should always remember that reason. Did you create a blog because you wanted to create a side income, share things you love, make a reputation, or do it as a hobby? Personally I created my blog because I wanted a hobby and I wanted to share my favourite things with people.
READ COMMENTS THAT YOUR READERS LEFT ON YOUR BLOG
We lose blogging motivation when we feel like our content isn’t making an impact on our audience. We all experience this every now and then, so when this happens, try looking back on comments from past blog posts. You’ll see that people found your blog to be helpful, a good read and tell you how great you and your blog are!

CREATE A SCHEDULE TO STOP YOURSELF BURNING OUT
Working on your blog non-stop might be efficient but it’s the most effective way to burn yourself out. As a blogger I try to create a schedule in my week to balance my blog and posting with activities and hobbies in my life. Figuring out what you need to accomplish and when is important when you need to keep yourself motivated.
GIVE YOURSELF GRACE
Blogging is hard, there is no doubt about it and we all know it. But, don’t be afraid to take time and give yourself moments of peace, try to do things that give you joy and help you rejuvenate. This could be going the gym, going on a walk or just having a lie down.
The above tips give me the most blogging motivation I will ever need when I’m researching blogs and new ideas. Let me know what motivation keeps you blogging in the comments.
I think you are right, since reading a variety of blogs I have learned so much and the blogging community gives me plenty to think and talk about. Your blog is always impressive.

Having a schedule has been so beneficial for me, and even though I’ve been blogging for a number of years, I only recently got into doing it properly. Thanks for the other tips too!

Hi Rachel. Great, motivational tips for us bloggers – thank you. Being able to take a break, of whatever duration, is so valuable and yet so many bloggers seem unable to do it and then end up burning out. Keep going with the NT write-ups – as things continue to open up again these reviews will be very useful to people 🙂

I know, it’s easy to forget why we blog when things get tough! Thanks for the reminder. Some days I don’t even remember why I started!!

Great stuff indeed.
What motivates me in blogging are most of insights drawn from my daily deflections around most of the difficult life challenges I may be seeking their remedies.
Thanks and God’s blessings,
Maurice.
