There are so many small great moments in our life which we don’t care to think about because we are busy in thinking about negative moments. Sometimes it’s really helpful for us to vent out our thoughts and feelings but we should not ignore these warm or grateful moments in our life.
I’ve been through a lot of things and experienced moments that make me grateful for who I have become. I’m grateful for a lot of things and I’m sure you all are too, especially when for the past year and a half we’ve been through the unexpected, encountered the worst of days and not seen much hope. Here’s some simple things we should all be grateful for:
For having a proper breakfast to eat.
Be thankful for the toast you ate this morning and the refrigerator filled with vegetables. Forget about food, some people don’t even have access to clean water to drink.
For proper roof over your head.
Be thankful that you have a home, a place to call your own, where you can crash at the end of the day and bath during the starting of the day, there are many people who don’t have luxury of having their own house.
For books and music.
Do you know what people used to do when they were alone and phones didn’t existed? They used to read books or listen to music. Especially books, they allow us the chance to learn, a chance to give our children and family knowledge.
For sense of smell, taste, touch, etc.
Remember that soft and tasty cake you ate? Yes, indeed we all should be grateful that we all can feel this. Sone of the senses we should be grateful for is softness of food, touch of people when they show affection towards you.
For friends, family, or someone who doesn’t let you feel lonely.
We all are social animals and even though some won’t admit, we all crave for affection from other people. Being happy in your own company is great but sometimes we all need someone to talk to. Be grateful that you have someone to talk to.

For having phone and internet access.
The fact that you are able to read this on your phone is a blessing. There are so many people who don’t have phone even today. Be grateful that you have enough money that you can buy phone, internet packs and WI-FI.
For new experiences.
I am grateful for life and in my life I have experienced so many amazing as well as terrible things. We all experience things in life which makes us stronger and makes us understand the reality of this world.
For being unique.
We all are different and unique, each one of us is good at something that others aren’t. Your uniqueness makes you who you are. We all need to stop comparing ourselves and be grateful that we are unique.
At the end, I just want to say even if you don’t have something from this list, be grateful because you have other things. Do care and work hard and stress in life but don’t ignore some basic blessings you have because you are too busy stressing.
Please feel free to share and comment about the things that you are grateful for.
Life, good people, the air we breathe…

There are so many things to be grateful for. Your post made me really made me think more about gratitude and I realised there is one thing we tend to overlook while expressing gratitude: opportunities. We are surrounded by so many opportunities; the opportunity to choose, to learn more, to educate ourselves, to communicate through language and art and so much more. I also realised that the more grateful we are about opportunities, the more we are open and able to notice them around and make use of them. Thank you for I found a lot of things to be grateful for today. 😊

This post is so good and so needed! We have so much to be grateful for but often forget all the great things we can be thankful for when life battles seems to be piling up one after the next.
I enjoyed reading your post because it allowed me to pause and reflect on all the things I have in my life that I should always be thankful for.
Thanks for sharing

We always need to remind ourselves of the good things that we have to be grateful for. I am grateful for my daily walks and that everyone in my house has been able to keep working through the pandemic.

I agree, we should be thankful for everything – even the small things. I am thankful for my boyfriend and his love, and the fact that I can do what I love.
All the best, Michelle (michellesclutterbox.com)

This was so touching to read and reminded me to take a moment and give pause to think about all the good things and gratitude there is around. It’s been a really tough time for a while now (personally) and I got a bit stuck in anxiety and negativity (still working on it) but this was lovely to read and I’m going to put this into practice!

Love this post. and the reminder about gratitude! I’m grateful for the writing that I was able to get done today, for my housemate who is understanding and helpful, for my grandmother (with whom I got to video call today), for podcasts and colouring books. For my job and my bed and for books from the library. And for your blog post. which prompted me to reflect on all of it!

Spot on. We overlook so much, such as breakfast every morning and it’s so important that we think twice and be thankful, like you say. A really good read!

These are so hugely important and actually, sadly, really easy to over look, we are all so worried about what we don’t have that it is easy to forget what we do have x

I’ve been practicing gratitude for a number of years now and last year (and 2021 so far) it’s really been a game changer and I’ve started to become SO grateful for the little things – which make all the difference!
