A young American woman from the Midwest is hired by a marketing firm in Paris to provide them with an American perspective on things.
Emily in Paris is not what you’re thinking… It’s even better, Paris and Passion, what more could you want? Too cliché? I don’t think so!
The show follows Emily (Lily Collins), an ambitious young marketing executive from Chicago who unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris. She ends up in Paris when her company acquires a French luxury marketing company and she is tasked with revamping their social media strategy.
Emily’s new life is filled with exciting adventures and challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends and French romances. Very French romances… oh it gets better. The chef downstairs, the professor and the perfume creator who is very promiscuous.

Seriously though I loved it, Emily in Paris is such a light and happy tv series that I did not notice episodes flying by. 30 minutes per episode is perfect, it was easy to finish off the whole series in one evening.
Why did I start watching the series in the first place? In one word… Paris! If anything, Emily in Paris is what I needed, it shows us Paris through the eyes of Emily from Chicago, which was too hard to resist.
It features excellent fashion, but the costumes on Emily in Paris are next level. One of the things that I love is that you can see the evolution of Emily’s character in her fashion throughout the season. Her looks at first are a bit casual, but the more time she spends in Paris, the more her clothes reflect the city’s glamour.
Every girl (and boy) grows up dreaming of time spent in Paris, the romance, glamour, wine, sexy men, elegant women, so on and so forth. But, Emily in Paris has love triangles, jealousy and broken hearts, it did not disappoint.

If you are looking for something to watch that is feel good, full of adventure, some comedy and passion, Emily in Paris is for you!
People have branded it as too ‘cliché’, but everything about this TV show is perfect, it’s what everyone imagines when they think of Paris. Whether that is true or not, it’s up to you, watch it and make up your own mind.
Let me know what you think if you’ve watched it!

Ooh this sounds so good! This type of show sounds right up my alley, and I love the concept of an American living abroad. You don’t see that too often on television.

This is the first positive review of this series that I am reading, until then the accumulation of clichés and improbabilities was mostly highlighted. I do not intend to watch this series, but to live the adventure first-hand since I will soon be transferred from Toronto to Paris!

I enjoyed it very much. It literally made fun of stereotypes but not in a rude way, so I kept laughing all the way through 😅
