The nights are now much darker and that means binge-watching season is well and truly on it’s way. We all love a good binge-watch and Netflix is the perfect place to find a new show. I thought I’d compile my favourites shows on Netflix that I’ve watched and share them with you!
- White Collar
American TV Series where a white-collar criminal agrees to help the FBI catch other criminals using his expertise as an art thief, counterfeiter, and conman. There is a lot to like about White Collar: charming cast, good acting, great story lines and lots of laughs. The show does not fail at all, it is definitely binge worthy! Matt Bomer (Neal Caffrey) and Tim DeKay (Agent Peter Burke) make a brilliant pair within the crime-comedy and you will love them from start to finish!
- Suits
Suits is the American TV series that follows collage drop-out Mike Ross and one of New York’s best legal closers, Harvey Specter. They soon become a winning team with Mike’s raw talent and photographic memory after he accidentally crashes the Harvard law interviews. Again another great TV pairing in Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter) and Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross), who go through many ups and downs to try and get justice.
- Life on Mars – Ashes to Ashes
Life on Mars is the British crime series where Sam Tyler ends up in a car accident in 2006, he wakes up to find himself in 1973, the era of ‘Sweeney’ type policing, Mark III Cortina’s, and flared trousers. John Simm and Philip Glenister are amazing together in this series, some may find it nostalgic, others may find it lovable. That’s because it’s bloody brilliant!
Ashes to Ashes is the follow on series, however, this time DCI Gene Hunt swaps the Ford Cortina for an Audi Quattro and is part of the London Metropolitan Police to deal with the ‘Southern Nancy’ criminal scum. This time it is the person going back in time is DI Alex Drake after being ‘shot’ by a kidnapper. She interacts with familiar characters from the detailed reports logged by none other than Sam Tyler.
- Peaky Blinders
Peaky Blinders is a British period crime drama TV show set in Birmingham. The series follows the exploits of the Shelby crime family in the direct aftermath of the First World War. Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson) and John Shelby (Joe Cole) are the main brothers who run the ‘razor-gang’. The show is gory and unbelievable, it will leave you on the edge of your seat – definitely binge-worthy! Although a warning, it will break your heart in more ways than you can imagine!
- Line of Duty
Line of Duty is a British BBC police procedural TV series starring Martin Compston, Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar. The trio are part of AC-12, they investigate cases involving seemingly-corrupt police officers and the storyline continues on from series one. You’ll be on the edge of your seat at the end of every episode – it is one of the best police series I have watched yet.
- CHEER
Cheer is a Netflix docu-drama following a competitive cheer squad, it has become an unlikely hit series, gaining A-list fans and an endless trove of memes.
In the small town of Corsicana, Texas, hard-driving head cheer coach Monica Aldama demands perfection from her team of competitive college athletes. The series follows the ups and downs of the team who are preparing for their performance in order to win a coveted national title.
What have you been watching on Netflix? I feel like there’s so many good things to watch, let me know if I’ve missed any good shows!
Ohhh, I would love to watch Cheer. *checks her Netflix* Yes, it is on there! Thanks for the recommendation! 🙂 My latest favourite (but weird) show was Teenage Bounty Hunters.

Some great choices here. I really want to watch Peaky blinders but my partner is not in to it so I keep putting it off, TV is our thing that we do together so I don’t want to force him.
I am really excited about the Crown starting again on Sunday x

I was never a big Netflix person in the past, I’m generally always on the go. However, with everything cancelled in 2020, I’m falling in love with it all over again lol! I just finished going through and rewatching all of the seasons of Rupaul’s Drag Race and Drag Race All-Stars, which was fun. I have been on the search for the next show to watch, so this had great timing.

Line of Duty I’ve recently finished (well as much as has been produced anyway!) so really looking forward to what’s next. I enjoyed Peaky Blinders but I admit it did get a little too political for my liking, but Suits I’m a big fan of…don’t THINK I’ve actually finished it though! Great suggestions.

Love the Netflix recommendations. White Collar actually reminds me of Blacklist, I enjoyed that series, so I’ll give it a chance. I’m currently trying to binge-watch House of Cards. Thank you for sharing dear.
