Even though we have spent most of the year indoors, everyone is hopeful that September will see normality again.
It’s September which means we can all go wild and get excited about autumn. Warm snuggly coats, cooler days, beautiful scenery and so much more is ahead of us for Autumn!
I honestly think it’s my favourite time of year, so I thought I’d share why I get so excited for autumn:
Coffee
Autumn means the start of yummy coffee flavours, including Pumpkin, Salted Caramel and more! Who knows what amazing flavours Costa or Starbucks will come up with this year. There’s also the Hot-Chocolate flavours to look out for such as black forest gateau, white chocolate and more. My favourite thing to do is sit in a coffee shop enjoying a flavoured Latte while blog planning, however I’m not sure it will be possible to spend a whole afternoon in Starbucks anymore…
Cooler weather
Living in Britain means weird weather throughout the autumn, but I absolutely love it. And, yes I do often moan that it rains too much, but I love getting all wrapped up in boots, scarf and coat. This year we have had wall to wall sunshine when we needed it the most, during the lockdown. I’m really hoping that we get dry icy days and sunny skies, with beautiful orange leaves on the trees, so I can wrap-up and carry on exploring the nature of a weekend.
Pretty Colours
Autumn to me is the prettiest season of them all, each tree or plant changes colour in front of our eyes day by day. All the leaves on the trees start turning orange and fall off, it’s a beautiful sight to see.
How could you not enjoy views like that? I just hope we could bank on the weather, but it will be a case of getting wrapped up and taking an umbrella with if I go out walking.
Binge-fest or snuggly nights
I know that not everyone is a fan of dark nights but there is nothing better than putting your PJs on as soon as your home from work and cuddling up on the sofa! And yes we have spent a long time indoors but now is the time to make the most of staying at home, especially while it may be cold and wet. Because I can guarantee that when the weather gets better in 2021 everyone will be going out more, providing there are no restrictions still in place!
IT’S NEARLY CHRISTMAS
Yes, the dreaded C word… I know it may only be September but before you know it December will be here. Plus it’s like autumn is the warm-up act for winter, it just gets more exciting as the year goes by! I think this year more than any people will start appreciating the little things more, like spending the night in snuggled up watching Christmas films.
I love this time of year because there is so much to look forward to, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Christmas…
The list goes on, what are your favourite things about autumn? Let me know in the comments below.
The scenery is most beautiful in Autumn. I don’t like fireworks though..

I do love the cooler weather and changing of the leaves. It’s so beautiful. We had planned on going to the mountains for it this year but aren’t sure we’ll be able to make it.

It’s cool that your country have four seasons. In Malaysia it’s only summer. However, we are lucky Starbucks Malaysia still promote pumpkin spice latte.

I feel like Britain and Seattle have very similar weather. Lots of rain, fog, colder temps. I love it a lot though I won’t lie, after the 300th day of rain, it gets a little old. But I am happy here. Black Forest Gateau? Oh, your hot chocolate flavors are so much better than ours!

I love fall for all of those reasons except for coffee! I am more a tea drinker. I also love fall because of the comfort food!

There is definitely something comforting about being able to close the curtains and just snuggle in as the evenings draw in, isn’t there? Great post – I love watching the colours change, they’re always so vibrant!
