A full face of Makeup was usually part of my everyday routine, Makeup makes me feel a bit more human and a bit more productive, even during the week.
I’ll admit that I have an unhealthy obsession with beauty blogs, as well as spontaneously buying makeup, oops…
My point is when I wear makeup, I kinda like to go all out. Here are my makeup and beauty must-haves:
Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Radiance Foundation.
I often struggle to find a foundation that actually matches the rest of my skin tone. I went for FO.3, which is for fair skin and offers medium to full coverage.
The foundation includes hyaluronic acid, it offers all-day-long radiance and glow without settling into fine lines or clinging to dry patches.
At first, I wasn’t too convinced about the coverage, but actually, a little went a long way. After a few hours, I can feel dry patches underneath my foundation, but with this one, I didn’t feel them at all. The foundation matches my skin tone really well and has become my daily foundation, one I will definitely be buying again and again.
Blistex Lip Brilliance
I suffer terribly with cracked & dry lips no matter what the season I end up spending a fortune on lip balms! This product is genuinely fantastic, it smells nice and it has a rosy colour to it as well which I think is great, you dont need lipstick. The lip balm adds gorgeous shimmer and a tint of rosy glow.
It has Vitamin E, Silk Extracts and Grape Seed Oil within and they work their softening magic as well as including SPF 15. I’d go as far as saying it is the best tinting lip balm and is really hydrating and soothing as well.
NYX Born To Glow Highlighter/Liquid Illuminator
This liquid highlighter from NYX is luminous and provides a fantastic glow. I love a liquid highlighter because I feel like it lasts longer than a powder one. A little goes a long way, but it creates a lovely finish to face Makeup.
Applying highlighter to the high points of your face can help you look more lifted and adds definition. It has now become essential to have in my makeup bag, this one I bought on a whim in Barcelona because I’d forgotten one.
I couldn’t believe how good the NYX Born to Glow highlighter was, especially if you don’t wear much face makeup, it gives you a subtle and natural glow.
Revolution Beauty Eyeshadow Palettes
A key feature of my regular routine is eye makeup, I like using eyeshadow daily, especially nude or highlighting shades. The eyeshadows from Revolution Beauty are amazing, so many colours within each palette, but my favourite is the Flawless 4.
This palette is my go-to every single time, it has perfect colours of warm tones, but also you can experiment with popping colour from time to time.
The Flawless 4 palette has 32 versatile mixes of matte and shimmer shades, from neutrals to warm to smoky. The price of the palette (£8) is extremely cheap too in comparison with other brands, the quality is outstanding and the eyeshadow lasts all day long.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation
If I had to choose one foundation to wear for the rest of my life, there’s a strong chance that it would be Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush flawless foundation in the shade 4.
Sweatproof, waterproof, basically LifeProof, and good for your skin too..? Sounds too good to be true, right?
Well, believe it, because this foundation really does have it all. I had no idea it was so good until my friend pointed it out to me, I LOVE it.
The reason it’s so completely fabulous is that it’s a ‘hybrid’ product, made with a cosmetic finish and is aimed at refining the skin, minimising pores and wrinkles and boosting hydration. It removes easily at the end of the day and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated.
As for the finish, the foundation is weightless, partly matte and really will last all day. The foundation has a pump dispenser, which is perfect to avoid waste as you really do not need to use much to achieve full coverage. A little really does go a long way!
I absolutely love it and have tried to savour it, so I only use it on special occasions. To go with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush flawless foundation is Charlotte’s magic cream, it was recommended by the girls at the makeup counter. Honestly, it works, trust me!
Charlotte’s Magic Cream
Bold statement time – this is probably the best moisturiser I’ve ever used, especially with foundation. Believe me when I say that I have tried and tested a LOT of skincare because I have eczema.
Whether it’s the combination of the eight ‘supercharged’ ingredients’ or some sort of witchcraft, this cream will instantly transform your skin and provide the best base for your foundation.
Skin feels plumper, smoother and immediately more nourished, plus it’s got SPF too! I’m not over-exaggerating. Honestly, I LOVE this product.
The fabulous thing about shopping at CT is that most products are available in travel sizes, which is always a winner for me.
With skin as temperamental as mine, there’s nothing worse than spending a fortune on products that don’t work for you. This way, you can try a smaller size before you buy it.
Benefit gimme brow+ volumising eyebrow gel
I love the benefit eyebrow range but on a daily basis I like using the brow-volumising fibre gel – Gimme bow.
It’s so easy to apply to your eyebrow hair because it’s natural-looking and buildable, so you can keep applying to create a fuller brow look.
The gel is amazing as it volumises, tames, & tints brows, even if you have stubborn brows this will keep them at bay all day long.
I love it because it’s water-resistant too so no brow is easily smudged – one pet peeve of mine!
