We’re now partway through 2020 and it’s safe to say it’s not going well… I thought now is the perfect time to get my 2020 travel and lifestyle goals together and share them with you all.
I had so much planned this year before Coronavirus arrived, but some things have been rearranged for later on within the year. It is a great bonus and means I’ve got things to look forward to, so I thought I’d make a list of things I’d like to accomplish for the rest of 2020.
Travel goals for 2020
I love traveling and exploring new places, both in the UK and abroad. Over the next 12 months, I’m hoping to do a lot more traveling with my boyfriend Aaron.
We were meant to be going to Gran Canaria this month, but that’s not happening now, so we’re planning another amazing trip to Barcelona when we can travel again.
We’ve had gigs rearranged in August and September, which means weekends away in Manchester and Birmingham.
Visiting more National Trust houses and English Heritage sites across the UK is another goal I’d like to complete by the time the year is over.
If you have any recommendations of what to see and where to go in the UK, let me know in the comments section below.
Lifestyle goals for 2020
This year I’m aiming to be more mindful and although I try to keep my social sites positive places. I’m aware that social media is likely to be having a negative impact on my wellbeing. But that’s not going to stop me sharing the amazing places I’ll be going to and sharing the good things going on in my life.
I’ve already mentioned traveling more throughout the UK, I wanted to start this as early as possible this year, but no such luck. I’ve even made a list of the closest National Trust and English Heritage sites that we haven’t yet visited.
I’m also planning to look after my health and well-being more this year. I plan to workout each day and drink more water, I have started this well while we’re all on lockdown.
More creative blog posts for 2020
I did try to blog as regularly as possible last year, but it died off throughout the year. This year I have blogged more and it is really paying off because I more than doubled my views and am gaining a lot of followers which is amazing!
I have no issue pouring my thoughts down whatsoever, but my issue is with starting it.
This is why this year I’m planning to indulge in a lot more creativity, especially when writing blog posts.
Writing is something I love and once I start it’s greatly liberating to just type type type.
I want to keep encouraging and inspiring people with my blog posts as well as spreading positivity as much as possible. Hopefully, this will increase my blog stats and it’s amazing to see so many wonderful bloggers stop by my blog from around the world.
Reading goals for 2020
I’m hoping to read lots of books; fiction, health, and fitness, as well as inspiring and self-help books that focus on well being.
For me, reading is a habit I fall in and out of throughout the year on a regular basis, but once I get into a book I can’t put it down easily.
I like to take the time to read during hectic periods as I definitely benefit from the relaxation and break it’d provide.
I’m going to do my best to make sure I read, even if it’s only a chapter or so just so I can build it into a habit.
If you’ve got any recommendations on books you love, why not let me know and leave me a comment below?
I always like to see my cup as half full rather than half empty. We may be halfway through 2020 but I believe it’ll get better. We’ll come out on the other side stronger.
I just finished reading A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, it’s a good read, perhaps you’ll like it too.

An enjoyable read. Difficult to set much in the way of goals at the moment, especially with travel. Hopefully things will take a turn for the better sooner rather than later.
